ALAN BEATON FUNERAL SERVICES

Arranging a funeral is never easy; for most people it’s something they’ll do only a few times. It’s an emotional time when you and your loved ones need support. At Alan Beaton Funeral Services, we are here to guide you through the process of arranging a funeral right down to the very last detail. Our service begins when you first contact us and we are here 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year, if you would like to discuss any aspect of a funeral or simply talk to someone for advice.

In a rapidly changing industry many family run funeral directors have now been sold to large corporations and quite often some still maintain the old family name. Alan Beaton Funeral Services is 100% owned and managed by Alan Beaton. We offer traditional values, professional services and an unwavering dedication to being a funeral director. The day to day running of the business is carried out by Alan, Suzi and David and we are very proud to serve the communities of Bridge of Weir, Kilmacolm, Quarriers Village, Houston, Brookfield, Kilbarchan, Johnstone, Elderslie, Beith, Howwood, Lochwinnoch, Linwood, Paisley, Port Glasgow, Langbank, Bishopton, Erskine, Inchinnan, Greenock and Gourock. However our reputation has grown and we now carry out funeral services across the whole of West Central Scotland.

We believe it is our responsibility, as independent funeral directors, to offer bespoke services to bereaved families and to advise families in the correct manner; the choices you make are our responsibility. Choice is important, there should be no regrets, and no pressure but when the burden of cost for one of those choices falls on the bereaved, the accountability and sense of responsibility of your funeral director is of vital importance. We as your funeral directors accept responsibility for the decisions made by families at the most vulnerable of times, we will advise you each and every step of the way. We put your welfare first every time.

We are here to help in your time of need and you can be sure that when dealing with Alan Beaton Funeral Services you are in skilled and caring hands.

We are members of SAIF, The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors. SAIF is a trade association whose members are all independent funeral directors. The funeral service they offer is not part of a national chain but is 100% privately owned and managed.

Independent funeral directors are known for their high standard of service and a caring, traditional approach to the local communities they serve, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. By choosing a SAIF member, you are assured of a trusted and caring professional who is dedicated to putting your needs first. SAIF Members must adhere to a strict Code of Practice and are subject to regular inspections.

Golden Charter Funeral Plans:

Talking about death and funerals isn’t easy. And yet there are several very good reasons why having a funeral plan in place makes perfect sense – from an emotional, practical and financial point of view. From a traditional funeral, to something simpler, with a plan in place you can make sure you get the send-off you really want.

A plan allows you to specify your wishes and pay for the funeral director’s services included in your plan. As customers often tell us, that can bring peace of mind to you and your family. A plan from Golden Charter also includes an allowance towards third party costs. These are essential, non-funeral director services such as the cremation or burial fees, plus the minister or officiant’s fee to perform the service.  The value of the allowance included in your plan may grow over time. There will only be more to pay at the time of the funeral if the third party costs exceed the allowance when you buy your plan, or if the costs increase by more than the growth of your plan.

At Alan Beaton Funeral Services Ltd, we’re proud to partner with Golden Charter, one of the UK’s largest funeral plan providers1. With a Golden Charter funeral plan you can choose us as your preferred funeral director. When the time comes, we’ll take care of your wishes locally with the utmost care and respect.

It means your Golden Charter funeral plan offers the best of both worlds – the reassurance of a leading plan provider and our personal care and service when it matters most. Rest assured, a plan from Golden Charter is available to all UK residents regardless of age or state of health.
